Original Call For Papers:

The Workshop

The workshop is intended to bring together leading researchers to discuss the integration of logic-based approaches with temporal or dynamic object bases. Suggested topics are (but are not limited to):

  • temporal specification and verification of object-based systems
  • deduction in temporal databases
  • logical frameworks for transactions in DOOD
  • temporal constraints in DOOD
Especially, we encourage the submission of papers dealing with non-standard logics for modeling temporal aspects of deductive and object-oriented databases.

Format

The workshop is planned to be a half-day or a full-day session depending on the number of submissions and the level of participation. There will be sufficient opportunity for discussing the presented approaches.

Submission

Authors are invited to submit original research contributions as extended abstracts (no longer than 10 pages) by June 1, 1995. Submissions will be reviewed. Electronic submission is strongly encouraged in the form of postscript, self-contained latex, etc. If electronic submission is not possible, four hardcopies will be required.

Please send submissions to:

Attendance

At least one author of the papers selected for presentation must attend the workshop. Researchers who are willing to contribute in the discussions are encouraged to participate. Workshop participants are not required to register and attend DOOD'95 conference. However, a discount will be given if they attend both conference and workshop.

Publication

Proceedings of the workshop will be published as a technical report. In case a number of high quality papers is accepted, an attempt can be made to prepare a special issue of an international journal dedicated to the workshop.
